Dr. Cara Garofalo is a pediatric cardiologist and is board-certified in pediatric cardiology, pediatric critical care and pediatrics. Dr. Garofalo earned her medical degree at the UMDNJ – Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. She went on to complete her residency in pediatrics at The Children’s Hospital, State University of New York. After residency, she completed a fellowship in pediatric cardiology and pediatric critical care at The Children’s Hospital of New York-Presbyterian, Columbia University.

Dr. Garofalo’s special interests include congenital and acquired heart disease, cardiac risk assessment, exercise testing and tilt table testing. She has participated in many clinical research projects and authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed medical journals.
